There are seven basic steps of tarot readings. They include rituals, shuffling, selection, turning, reading, discussion and refining. In tarot readings rituals play an important role. The rituals will be uniquely yours. The rituals include the methods of lay down and reading the cards.
The next step of tarot readings is shuffling. It is always important to shuffle down so that no one can see the tarot cards. One can follow different methods of shuffling to shuffle the tarot cards. The next step of tarot readings is selection. This step involves spreading of cards in a semi-circle or line, face down, above the layout. Now ask your subject to choose a card and place back in its position, face down, within your layout. The cards should always be placed vertical and not horizontal. To complete the layout add few more cards in the same order.
From side to side turn over the first card and tell your subject about its significance. Repeat the step until all cards are turned. Now the next step is reading the tarot cards. Here the tarot reader should use his knowledge after looking at the image on the card and then based on its position analyze the meaning and then comment on it.
Once you have given the interpretation of the cards take the feedback of your subject. Based on the feedback, reinterpret the cards so that it is specific to the subject situation. By using these steps the tarot readers can provide accurate tarot readings to their clients.
